Classes
- FitsCard
One header card: a keyword, its value and its comment. The value is a string, a bool, a long, a double, or null for a card without one (
COMMENT,HISTORY, a blank keyword). A value the reader does not type, such as a complex number, is kept as its text.
- FitsDetails
Details only FITS has, kept in FormatDetails: the HDU's header and how its values became the picture. The writer writes the header's own keywords (all but the structural ones) back.
- FitsFile
A whole FITS file, for the numbers rather than a picture: every HDU's header cards, and an image's physical values,
BZERO + BSCALE × stored, unstretched, with missing pixels (BLANK, NaN, damaged tiles, data past the file's end) as NaN. Tile-compressed images decode as plain ones. World coordinate (WCS) keywords are in the header; Egami does no sky coordinate math.
- FitsFormat
FITS (Flexible Image Transport System, standard 4.0), astronomy's image format: headers of 80-character keyword cards in 2880-byte blocks, then big-endian 8, 16, 32 or 64-bit integer or 32 or 64-bit float data. Load gives a viewable picture of the first image, stretched into 0 to 1 (Stretch); LoadAll gives every image of every HDU and every plane of a cube. FitsFile gives the header cards and the physical values themselves. Registered with WithFits(EgamiContext).
- FitsHdu
One HDU of a FITS file: its header, and for an image, its BITPIX and axes. A tile-compressed image reports the image's own BITPIX and axes (
ZBITPIX,ZNAXISn), not the table's.
- FitsHeader
The cards of one FITS header, in order, with typed lookups by keyword. Long string values continued over
CONTINUEcards are joined into one card.
- FitsReaderOptions
Options for reading FITS.
- FitsWriterOptions
Options for writing FITS.
Enums
- FitsHduKind
What a FITS HDU (header and data unit) holds.
- FitsStretch
How Load turns a FITS image's physical values into a picture.
