Enum DicomOffsetTable

Namespace
Egami.Formats.Extended.Dicom
Assembly
Egami.Formats.Extended.dll

Where encapsulated pixel data says each frame starts (PS3.5 section A.4).

[Experimental("EGAMIX001", UrlFormat = "https://github.com/inexin/Egami/blob/main/docs/articles/formats/dicom.md")]
public enum DicomOffsetTable

Fields

Basic = 0

The Basic Offset Table, the first item of the pixel data (the default). Pixel data past 4 GiB, which its 32-bit offsets cannot reach, gets the Extended Offset Table instead.

Extended = 1

The Extended Offset Table (7FE0,0001) and its lengths (7FE0,0002), 64-bit; the Basic Offset Table is left empty.

None = 2

No table: the Basic Offset Table is left empty, and readers find frames by their fragments, one a frame.

Examples

// An opened file saves again in another transfer syntax, every element kept and the pixel data coded anew.
DicomFile file = DicomFile.Load("scan.dcm");
file.Save("scan-rle.dcm", new DicomWriterOptions { TransferSyntax = DicomTransferSyntax.RleLossless });

// Lossy syntaxes record themselves (Lossy Image Compression) and give the image a new SOP Instance UID.
file.Save("scan-jpegls.dcm", new DicomWriterOptions
{
    TransferSyntax = DicomTransferSyntax.JpegLsNearLossless,
    Near = 2,
    OffsetTable = DicomOffsetTable.Extended,
});
